I just got back from London last night, and safe to say I have fallen in love with the place.... everything about it is just amazing. I was lucky enough to be staying in a luxury five-star hotel in the heart of Mayfair. I have to say the Christmas atmosphere over there is brilliant, with so much to do to keep busy. A must see if you are in London is the Christmas tree in Claridge's Hotel, which is designed by Dolce & Gabbana.... it's absolutely amazing. I've heard great things about "Winter Wonderland" too, but unfortunately didn't have enough time to check it out.
The 7-day countdown to Christmas has begun, with sales in almost every shop. I've picked up some great deals in the sales this Christmas (especially in Warehouse, ASOS and Kurt Geiger). Probably not the best idea to be shopping for myself though.... still have no Christmas shopping done!

The black and gold combo is back once again this season, probably as one of the hottest colour combinations around. The thing I love most about this combination, is that you can make almost any boring black outfit look instantly classy, by simply adding a dash of gold to it. Chunky gold statement necklaces, bracelets and rings are a key purchase to brighten up any dull outfit.
The key to getting this look to work for you is the balance. If you're opting for a black and gold patterned piece then you need to make that the focus of your look and keep the rest of your ensemble neutral. Easy on the gold jewellery when mixing with a print, as too much of it makes an outfit look tacky.
